The exclusive formula of the Philosophia Botanica range has been developed in our Cape Point Laboratory and none of the products contain parabens, artificial colors, mineral oil, silicone or any animal raw materials. The name Philosophia Botanica evokes the source of its ingredients as well as the purity and the natural specificities of its products. Being a botanically-based skincare, we are working to improve our environmental impact in everything we do. Our ingredients are sourced from sustainable and Fair-Trade plantations and our products are hypoallergenic and vegan. We believe in supporting sustainable agriculture and we’re passionate about responsible sourcing, especially within Africa so that we can contribute to local economic development for generations to come. Where we can, we work closely with ingredient growers, farmers and Fair-Trade coops not only to ensure the quality of our ingredients but also care for the environment, promote fair working conditions and incomes for communities. Our products are free from Parabens, Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Petrochemicals, Detergents (SLS/SLES) and artificial fragrance. We also avoid anything that has the potential to upset or imbalance sensitive skin. All products come packaged in glass to preserve freshness and conserve the original scent, as well as being ready for re-cycling.
